IIM Jammu Hosts Workshop on Women Empowerment with Dr. Rashmi Singh, IAS

Indian Institute of Management Jammu (IIM) Jammu organized a workshop on Women Empowerment, featuring Dr. Rashmi Singh, IAS, Commissioner, State Taxes Department, Jammu and Kashmir, Government of India, as the keynote speaker. The workshop focused on addressing gender stereotyping, and gender discrimination, and promoting the significant role of women in driving development, in line with the vision outlined by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi. The event was graced by Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu, faculty members, officers, staff, and students at the institute.
Dr. Rashmi Singh, IAS, Commissioner, State Taxes Department, Jammu and Kashmir, Government of India delivered a compelling address on the challenges faced by women and the need to break free from gender stereotypes. Drawing on her extensive experience, she emphasized the importance of Women Lead Development, a concept championed by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi. encouraged participants to challenge stereotypes, embrace diversity, and actively support initiatives that promote gender equality.
