METRO’S LADY TABLE-TENNIS PLAYER WINS GOLD MEDAL IN 85TH SENIOR NATIONAL & INTER-STATE TABLE TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS-2023

Metro Railway’s lady Table Tennis player has won the Gold medal in the 85th Senior National & Inter-State Table Tennis Championships-2023 held at Panchkula, Haryana from 16th to 22nd December,2023.
Ms. Poymantee Baisya, representing the Railway Sports Promotion Board (RSPB) has won the Women’s Singles category. Ms. Poymantee Baisya is a staff of Metro Railway.
In the final, Ms. Poymantee Baisya defeated Ayhika Mukherjee of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) 10-12,11-7,11-6,11-9,8-11,11-4.
Poymantee teaming up with Sutirtha Mukherjee has also won the Women’s Doubles final here. They, representing the Railway Sports Promotion Board (RSPB), have defeated Kaushani Nath and Prapti Sen of West Bengal by 12-10, 11-5,11-13, 9-11,11-9.
Players from different states and Sports Promotion Boards participated in this Championship. A total of 350 players participated in this event.
