STUDY VISIT OF THE PARLIAMENTARY STANDING COMMITTEE ON RAILWAYS AT KOLKATA

Shri Radha Mohan Singh, Chairperson, and other members of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Railways held a meeting with Shri P Uday Kumar Reddy, General Manager of Metro Railway, Shri Amar Prakash Reddy, General Manager, Eastern Railway, Sri Anil Kumar Mishra General Manager, South Eastern Railway, Shri Yatish Kumar, Chairman and Managing Director, Braithwaite and Company Limited senior Railway officers in Kolkata today (27.12.23).
Shri Mukesh Rajput, Hon’ble Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha), Shri Ramesh Chandra Kaushik, Hon’ble Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha), Shri Gopal Jee Thakur, Hon’ble Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha), Shri Sumedhanand Sarwaswati, Hon’ble Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha), Shri Narhari Amin, Hon’ble Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), Dr. Prashanta Nanda, Hon’ble Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), Dr. Sumer Singh Solanki, Hon’ble Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) were also present in the meeting. Members of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Railways gave their valuable suggestions and advised for improvement in services. Members of the Committee have also expressed their willingness to support the Railway’s efforts for the sake of ensuring more convenience for commuters.
Shri Reddy briefed the Chairperson & members of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Railways about various initiatives taken by Metro Railway Authority to augment passenger amenities. Shri Reddy also assured that all suggestions received from Hon’ble members will be adequately looked into and necessary course of action will be taken accordingly.
Shri P Uday Kumar Reddy, General Manager, Metro Railway also felicitated the members of the Standing Committee. Officers of Lok Sabha Secretariat, Principal Heads of the Departments Metro Railway, Eastern Railway, South Eastern Railway, and other officers were present at the meeting.
