West Bengal government full of corrupt people: Anurag Thakur

Mamata Banerjee touches the new height of appeasement every day: Anurag Thakur

Mamata Banerjee is stopping the Hindus of West Bengal from celebrating the arrival of Shri Ram: Anurag Thakur

13 January 2024, Kolkata, West Bengal/ New Delhi: Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting and Youth and Sports Affairs, Shri Anurag Singh Thakur is on a visit to West Bengal today. Speaking to reporters at Kolkata Airport, Shri Thakur responded to various political issues and also answered questions from the media.

Targeting the Mamata Banerjee government of West Bengal, Shri Anurag Thakur said that today the law and order situation of West Bengal has completely collapsed under the rule of Mamata Didi. There is a complete arrangement here to loot the money that comes for public welfare. Even the ED team that came to take action in corruption cases is pelted with stones and beaten. The government of West Bengal is a haven for the corrupt. Has Mamata Banerjee given free rein to her ministers, MPs and MLAs to loot or do they not listen to her? In West Bengal, if any police officer is accused of corruption, then Mamata Banerjee comes out on the streets to save him. Whenever there is raid, crores of rupees are recovered. Why do names of only TMC people appear in it?

Shri Anurag Thakur further said that yesterday the National Youth Festival was celebrated all over India on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda who is from West Bengal only but the youth of West Bengal were not allowed to participate in it. Why?

Shri Anurag Thakur further said that Mamata Banerjee has created the pinnacle of appeasement in West Bengal. Today, when the name of Ram is echoing across the country, Hindus in West Bengal are not even being allowed to feel happy. Curfew like situation has been imposed here. Now cases of assault on Hindu sadhus and attempts to murder them have come to light. After continuously running the news in the media, now action has been taken. Mamta Banerjee should tell why this anti-Hindu thinking?

Further, in response to a question related to Delhi Chief Minister, Shri Arvind Kejriwal, Shri Anurag Singh Thakur said, “Those who once talked about the corruption of Congress and removing corruption from the country, are today themselves immersed in the quagmire of corruption. Today his Deputy Chief Minister, Ministers, MPs are all in jail. No one is getting bail. Arvind Kejriwal ji has only spread corruption and anarchy. When there is investigation, these people try to run away.”

Further, on the question of INDI Alliance, Mr. Anurag Thakur said, “Today the arrogance of the arrogant alliance is peaking to its peak. One leader does not talk to the other. In West Bengal itself, Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary Saheb says one thing, Mamata Banerjee says something else. They have neither a leader, nor a policy, nor a mission. Even in Uttar Pradesh, the rule of bua and babua did not last long. Today, the leaders of all the camps are busy in earning money. In this, everyone is protecting each other”

In response to further economic questions, Shri Anurag Thakur said, “During the UPA regime in 2013-14, the inflation rate was 13%. Today it is 5%. In 2013-14, there was neither Russia Ukraine war, nor Covid had come nor the world was going through recession.
