SEALDAH DIVISION ORGANIZED INTER DEPARTMENT WOMEN’S CRICKET TOURNAMENT 2024

Eastern Railway’s Sealdah Division is incredibly proud to launch the Inter-Department Women’s Cricket Tournament 2024. The spirit of sportsmanship and friendly competition filled the air as the “Inter Department Women’s Cricket Tournament 2024”, organized by the Divisional Sports Association of Sealdah Division, at DRM sports ground, commenced on 31.01.2024 with a thrilling opening match. The tournament kickstarted with a ceremonial opening, marked by the presence of Sri Deepak Nigam, Divisional Railway Manager, Sealdah.
This highly anticipated event brings together talented female cricketers from various departments within the Sealdah Division with 13 teams, fostering friendship and showcasing their cricketing ability. The tournament promises exciting matches, nail-biting finishes, and the opportunity for players to shine on the field.
While inaugurating the tournament, Sri Deepak Nigam, Divisional Railway Manager, Sealdah expressed his delight at the overwhelming participation and enthusiasm shown by the women employees. He emphasized the importance of such tournaments in promoting sportsmanship, team spirit, and overall well-being amongst employees and highlighting the role of empowering women and providing a platform to showcase their cricket skills.
