REGULATION OF TRAINS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF LIMITED-HEIGHT SUBWAY
Kolkata, March 01, 2024:
In a significant stride towards enhancing safety and convenience for local commuters, Eastern Railway is constructing a Limited Height Subway (LHS) in lieu of Level Crossing Gates No. 31 (between Jasidih & Lahabon stations) and Gate No. 33 (between Asansol & Jhajha stations). Local residents and commuters using these gates will experience increased convenience and reduced travel time, contributing to an improved quality of life. The LHS also significantly reduces the risk associated with Level crossing providing a safer passage for both pedestrians and vehicles.
This strategic initiative aims to eliminate train detentions, facilitating a smoother and more comfortable journey for passengers. By replacing Level Crossing Gates with Limited Height Subways, Eastern Railway aims to significantly reduce train detention times, ensuring timely arrivals and departures. The new infrastructure contributes to improved safety measures by eliminating the potential risks associated with level crossings, providing a secure environment for both train operations and road users. For the construction of LHS, 06 hours (from 07:00 hrs. to 13:00 hrs.) Traffic & Power Block has been planned in Asansol Division on 03.03.2024 (Sunday). Consequently, the following arrangements for train running have been made on 03.03.2024 (Sunday):-
Cancellation On 03.03.2024:
• 03571 Jasidih – Mokama MEMU Special
• 03769 Jasidih – Jhajha MEMU Special
• 03573 Jasidih – Kiul Passenger Special
• 03572 Mokama – Jasidih MEMU Special
• 03770 Jasidih – Jhajha Pasenger
• 03234 Jhajha – Deoghar MEMU Special
• 03574 Kiul – Jasidih Passenger Special
Short Termination/Short Origination (on 03.03.2024):
• 03675 Asansol – Jhajha MEMU Passenger will be short-terminated at Jasidih
• 03273 Deoghar – Patna MEM Special will be short originated from Jhajha.
• 03676 Jhajha – Asansol MEMU Special will be short originated from Jasidih.
Rescheduling on 03.03.2024:
• 02023 Howrah – Patna Superfast Special will be rescheduled by 315 minutes.
• 13331 Dhanbad – Patna Express will be rescheduled by 120 minutes.
• 12317 Kolkata – Amritsar Express will be rescheduled by 90 minutes
• 22197 Kolkata – Jhansi Express will be rescheduled by 65 minutes
