TAMULPUR

Gajraj Corps held a rally for Ex-servicemen and Veer Naris at Tamulpur on 10 Mar 2024. The rally attracted more than 1500 ex-servicemen and their dependents from the districts of Lower Assam.
The event with its motto of “Hamesha Apno ke Sath” aimed at reaching out to the maximum number of veterans and their families to initiate resolution to their issues related to pensions, medical provisions, and welfare schemes. The event was marked by the felicitation of
Veer Naris, Veer Matas, War Veterans and provision of wheelchairs to differently disabled veterans.
The mega event facilitated an array of facilities for Veterans and their families under one roof. On-spot resolution and rectification of issues with respect to pension & emoluments were addressed through representatives of CDA (Prayagraj), Record Offices, and Zilla Sainik Boards. Medical assistance and CSD facilities were provided to the rally attendees through medical camps and CSD outlets.
To add to the event, outlets by Pragati Edutech displaying employment opportunities, the Kisan Jagrukta camp, and extensions of nationalised banks were also established. An opportunity to register in the Agniveer scheme for the eligible wards of veterans was made available.
The event reaffirmed the Indian Army’s firm commitment to veterans, veer naris, and their families.
