QUEUE MANAGERS INSTALLED AT ESPLANADE METRO STATION

Metro Railway authorities have been leaving no stone unturned to ensure the smooth movement of passengers in Metro premises. Especially after the commissioning of new Corridors, the interchanging facility of commuters has added a new unique feature to Kolkata’s Metro system.
In order to make this interchanging smoother and more flexible, queue managers have been installed at Esplanade Metro station to ensure a seamless interchange of passengers in between Old Esplanade Station (Blue Line) and New Esplanade Station (Green Line). The queue managers are being used to effectively manage the large number of crowds and ensure unidirectional flow of them where required.
These are also allowing other passengers to move freely. Strategic installation of these queue managers has also eliminated the possibility of mixing of Green Line and Blue Line bound passengers. This along with numerous banners and stickers already put in place have immensely benefitted the passengers to find their suitable entry/exit points as well as trains smoothly.
