All credit of our 8-0 win against Parappur FC goes to the players: Muthoot FA coach Anees Koraliyadan
Kozhikode, April 16: Muthoot FA emerged as the big winners in the National Group Stage of the Reliance Foundation Development League (RFDL) by defeating their Group B opponents Parappur FC by 8-0 at the EMS Corporation Stadium, Kozhikode on April 16, Tuesday.
Salahudeen Adnan K notched a hat-trick for Muthoot FA, whereas forward Naveen Krishna bagged a brace. Muhammed Ashar NA found the back of the net in the 43rd minute, and Mohammed Rishad Gafoor along with Muhammed Samir scored after coming off the bench to cap off a resounding performance for Muthoot FA.
Roots FC overcame GMSC pretty convincingly, as they netted thrice and kept a clean sheet to register a 3-0 win at the same venue. Godwin Johnson, Vishal R, and skipper Anirudh Mukunthan bagged a goal each to help Roots FC secure this important win.
“Coming into this match, it was very important for us to get the three points and get those goals under our belt, because we had drawn against Roots FC in our first match. The boys did really well. We scored eight goals, which is a very great job. The full credit of this performance goes to our boys,” Muthoot FA coach Anees Koraliyadan said after the match.
