Narendra Modi Ji’s Decade Track Record Speaks for Itself.

Modi’s Actions Prove He’s Not Anti-Muslim.

  • By Prof. Jasim Mohammad

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is always in the spotlight. Recently, when he talked about his goals during his nomination filing in Varanasi, he once again highlighted his commitment to unity and inclusivity. Modiji made it clear that he doesn’t want to play politics that divide people based on religion. He believes in treating everyone equally and working for the betterment of all which is reflected in his famous slogan ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ (Together with all, Development for all), which focuses on helping everyone, no matter who they are.

Over the past decade, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, our nation has witnessed remarkable progress and development. Contrary to the baseless accusations levelled against him, Prime Minister Modi has consistently upheld the principles of equality, justice, and secularism, ensuring that every citizen, regardless of religious affiliation, has the opportunity to thrive. It is imperative that we engage in a candid dialogue, grounded in truth and rationality, to dispel the falsehoods that threaten to divide us. Muslims have actively participated in the prosperity and growth that has characterized India’s journey in recent years. From economic empowerment initiatives to social welfare programs, Prime Minister Modi’s government has extended its hand to uplift every segment of society, including Muslims. It is disheartening to see opposition parties like congress resorting to divisive tactics and fear-mongering to further their political agendas. The portrayal of Prime Minister Modi as anti-Muslim is not only unfounded but also detrimental to the fabric of our pluralistic society. Muslims must not allow themselves to be swayed by propaganda that seeks to sow seeds of discord among us. It is disheartening to witness the vilification of Prime Minister Modi, who has consistently demonstrated his commitment to the welfare and empowerment of Muslims across India. Prime Minister Modi has every time stood by the Muslim community in their times of need.

Having had the opportunity to interact with Prime Minister Modi on numerous occasions, I can attest to his genuine concern for the well-being of Muslims and his unwavering dedication to their upliftment. His efforts to dispel the atmosphere of fear and mistrust that has been perpetuated by political opponents are commendable and worthy of our support. We should not forget the tangible benefits that we have reaped under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership. From improved infrastructure to enhanced educational opportunities, his government has prioritized the welfare and advancement of all citizens, irrespective of religion. It is time for us to recognize and acknowledge the positive impact of his policies on our lives and communities.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi every time made it abundantly clear that his policies and schemes are designed to benefit every Indian, regardless of their religion. He stressed that the aim is not to discriminate but to uplift every individual, especially those who have been marginalized or deprived for far too long. Modiji every time spoke passionately about his vision for a united India, where communal harmony reigns supreme. He reminded us of the progress our nation has made under his leadership, highlighting the significant reduction in communal violence since his tenure began. He urged Muslims to reflect on why some among us still harbour fears and doubts, despite the tangible improvements in our society. He addressed the issue of fear-mongering and political propaganda that seeks to divide Indians along religious lines. He encouraged us to rise above such divisive tactics and focus on the larger goal of nation-building. He reminded us of the respect and admiration India receives on the global stage and urged us to embrace opportunities for growth and development, rather than succumbing to baseless fears.

In his interview, Modiji said “We are not against Islam. We are not against Muslims. This is not our domain. When it is about their abuses, they have been spinning this narrative since Nehru era. They have always been abusing us as anti-Muslim. Secondly, they used to abuse us because by putting in very little work, they would yield dividends. So, they would vilify us as anti-Muslim and then would claim they are friends of Muslims. They gained through this. That is why they created this atmosphere of fear. They were reaping benefits by fear mongering. But the Muslim community is aware now. When I abolished triple talaq and ended that practice, Muslim sisters feel that I am genuine about their concerns. When I give Ayushman cards, they say I am a genuine man. When I give covid vaccines, they say I am a genuine man. They realise I am not discriminating against anyone. Opposition’s problem is this that their lies have been caught. That is why to mislead, they have to keep saying all kinds of lies,”.

Modi’s track record from 2014 to 2024 speaks volumes about his commitment to turning words into action. One of Modi’s main goals is to make sure that government schemes reach every person who needs them, without any discrimination. He wants to use development as a way to unite people, rather than divide them based on their backgrounds. Throughout his tenure as Prime Minister, he has consistently advocated for inclusivity and unity, and his policies reflect these values. From launching welfare programs to promote economic development, Modi’s actions have been aligned with his rhetoric of bringing everyone together for progress. Under Modi’s leadership, India has witnessed significant strides in various sectors, including infrastructure, healthcare, and education. His government’s focus on inclusive growth has led to the implementation of initiatives aimed at uplifting the most vulnerable segments of society, such as the poor, farmers, and women. Whether it’s the introduction of schemes like Jan Dhan Yojana to provide financial inclusion or the expansion of healthcare services through Ayushman Bharat, Modi has demonstrated a commitment to improving the lives of all Indians.

Moreover, Modi’s efforts to strengthen India’s position on the global stage have also been guided by the principles of inclusivity and unity. Through initiatives like the International Solar Alliance and the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure, he has sought to collaborate with other nations to address common challenges and promote sustainable development. Modiji has consistently emphasized the importance of social harmony and religious tolerance. Despite facing criticism and opposition from various quarters, he has remained steadfast in his belief that India’s diversity is its greatest strength. Whether it’s celebrating festivals with people from different faiths or condemning acts of violence and discrimination, Modi has been a vocal advocate for unity in diversity.

Muslims should cast their votes on the merits of governance and leadership. Narendra Modi has done nothing wrong to the Muslim community. So, Prime Minister Modi is not anti-Muslim, nor is he anti-Islam. These baseless accusations have been perpetuated by vested interests seeking to sow seeds of discord and division within our community.
