The Statesman: Rashtrarishi Narendra Modi ji

By Prof. Jasim Mohammad

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decade in leadership has brought dynamic changes to Bharat, and benefitted citizens across all communities, including Muslims. All schemes were inclusively designed to uplift every Indian, regardless of religion. These schemes have significantly benifited the Muslim community.

For instance, the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana has provided affordable housing to millions of families, many of whom are from minority communities. The Ujjwala Yojana has distributed LPG connections to millions of households, significantly benefitted Muslim women by improving their health and quality of life. The Jan Dhan Yojana has opened over millions of bank accounts, with substantial Muslim participation. The Bare Necessities Index from the Economic Survey 2020-21 reveals that access to essential services like water, sanitation, and electricity has improved equally for Muslims and Hindus.

The government has implemented policies and schemes for the welfare of women, including Muslim women from the Pasmanda community.  Modi always cares about Muslims. He wants everyone to live peacefully together in India, no matter their religion, and ensures that Muslims have the same rights and opportunities as everyone. I have observed these changes firsthand in my community. The Modi government has also launched various initiatives aimed at uplifting the socio-economic status of impoverished Muslims.

These include the enactment of a law against instant triple talaq, which has been cited as a move to secure the future of Muslim women.

The government’s 15-point programme for minorities is another example, which focuses on enhancing opportunities for education, economic empowerment, and ensuring an equitable share in infrastructure development schemes. Modi has consistently advocated for the principle of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas” (With all, development for all, trust of all). This approach has led to various initiatives aimed at empowering marginalized communities, including Muslims.

With such a track record, I am confident that Modi’s 3.0 will commence on 4th June 2024, continuing the ethos of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas (Together, for everyone’s growth, with everyone’s trust).
