Chinese Consul General Xu Wei arrives in Kolkata
On 1st June 2024, H.E. Mr. Xu Wei, the newly appointed Chinese Consul General in Kolkata, arrived in Kolkata. Chinese Consulate General officials, representatives of Indian Chinese community and Chinese-funded enterprises in Kolkata, greeted Consul General Xu Wei at the airport.
Consul General Xu Wei said he is honored to work in Kolkata, a capital of culture and art and the “City of Joy”. China and India are neighbors connected by mountains and rivers, and five states in our consular districts have a long history of friendly exchanges with China. The Consulate General will actively promote friendly exchanges and cooperation between China and India, deepen mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples, and contribute to the sound and steady development of China-India relationship. At the same time, the Consulate General will continue to provide high-quality consular services to overseas Chinese and Chinese-funded enterprises in the consular district.
Consul General Xu Wei is the 6th Chinese Consul General in Kolkata.
