Barasat, 8 July 2024:

Ward No. 1 under Barasat Municipality is the oldest ward and is supposed to be the first seed ward for the prestigious municipality. But citizen of the Kazipara area have expressed their grievances over the negligence of the infrastructure and other government project implementation in ward no 1.

While talking to the residents of the ward under the promise of keeping anonymous they said the entire ward has been instrumental in the win of MP and MLA elections every time the ruling party won. While other wards are getting jobs, infrastructure support ward No 1 is left behind for unknown reasons.

Ward 1 Barasat Municipal, Kazi para main road, kazi para central road, etc. images are shown below:

Word commissioner’s name is Kazi Mariam, His father’s name is Kazi Masud Alam, Barasat Municipality Chairman is Ashani Mukherjee
chairman’s Ward gave only 50 votes lead in the MP elections for Dr. Kakoli Madam., Whereas Kazi Mariam gave more than 4000 votes.

“Locals are now saying every time we give the lead and we are suffering”. We request the Chief Minister of West Bengal take the corrective steps to provide support for all schemes related to jobs, medical, and other pro-people projects for the Ward No. 1 citizens too.

It has been really shocking that a minority major ward is deprived of the schemes initiated by the Government of West Bengal.
