Annual Meeting of Local Board of Administration Held at Sainik School Imphal, Manipur
Sainik School Imphal conducted Annual Meeting of the Local Board of Administration (LBA) today, marking a significant event in the school’s calendar. Major General SS Kartikeya, SM, GOC Red Sheild Division, who is also the Chairman of LBA, graced the occasion along with his spouse, Mrs. Priya Kartikeya.
The GOC chaired the LBA meeting wherein he was briefed by officials from Sainik School Imphal. During an inspiring address at the Vikram Batra Auditorium, Major General Kartikeya motivated the cadets to aim for a future in the esteemed Indian Armed Forces, emphasizing its standing as one of the world’s finest military forces. Post address, the GOC also felicitated teachers and administrative staff of the school for their dedicated efforts in shaping the minds of future generations and their contributions towards overall development of the school.
Simultaneously, Mrs. Priya Kartikeya, visited Girls’ Hostel and interacted over an insightful discussion on educational topics with Lady Cadets and teachers. She also visited the Sainik Foundation School (a school for children aged between four to ten years) and participated in a tree plantation drive.
On this occasion a weapon and equipment display was also organised for the cadets of Sainik School as well as children of Sainik Foundation School. The cadets were elated to get firsthand experience of handling the weapons and were motivated to join the Indian Armed Forces.
Principal Sainik School Imphal, on behalf of entire school conveyed appreciation to the General Officer for projecting several infrastructural projects for the school with the state administration and especially thanked Major General and Mrs. Kartikeya for their visit, which was both inspiring and memorable.
