MORE THAN 5.41 LAKH ANDROID AND 11000 iOS USERS DOWNLOADED ‘METRO RIDE KOLKATA’ APP

‘Metro Ride Kolkata App’ has touched another milestone with its increasing popularity! More than 5.41 lakh Android and more than 11000 iOS users have downloaded this App so far.
This App developed by the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS) has been a hit among users since its inception. This App has enabled Metro commuters to recharge their Smart Cards or book QR Code Based tickets anytime from anywhere. For the benefit of the commuters, the ‘Metro Ride Kolkata’ App was launched on 05.03.2022 on the Android platform and on 22.03.2024 on the iOS platform.
Till 27.07.2024, more than 5.41 lakh Android users have downloaded this App from Google Play Store and more than 11000 iOS users have also downloaded this App from Apple Store. These figures signify the acceptability and popularity of this App among Metro users. In order to make more commuters aware of it, special promotional films on how to download and use this App are being shown on platform televisions of North-South and East-West Metro stations. Metro staff have also been helping passengers to download this App from the Google Play Store and Apple Store and showing them the procedure to use it at different stations.
