Project Swastik of BRO celebrated 78th Independence Day with great patriotic flavor and enthusiasm in different parts of Sikkim. Flag hoisting was done by BRO pers of Proj Swastik at Donkayala Pass and Tamze Pass, the highest passes in North and East Sikkim, at Doklam and Nathula on Line of Actual Control and Pt 4685, the highest peak in East Sikkim. As part of “ Har Ghar Tiranga”, flag hoisting at the recently inaugurated Indryani bridge at Singtham was done. This critical bridge was inaugurated recently by Hon’ble CM Prem Kumar Tamang(Golay).

Project Swastik also organised Tiranga marches and Tiranga runs at numerous prominent places in North Bengal and Sikkim including places like Chungthang, Chandmari, Burtuk Kalimpong, Kupup, and Nathula. The children of Swastik Toddler School of BRO also organised patriotic plays and song competitions followed by a Dental Check of students. BRO is truly living up to its motto of “ Connecting Places, Connecting People” and is playing a crucial role in the daily lives of the border population.
