IEMA Unveils Robotic Arm
IEMA Research & Development Pvt. Ltd. has recently launched the IEMA Armex, an advanced robotic arm designed to revolutionise operations in industries, research labs, and academic institutions.
This innovation was developed under the guidance of Dr. Satyajit Chakrabarti, Director, IEM, along with key researchers Souvik Chatterjee, Prof. Amartya Mukherjee, and Prof. Ayan Kumar Panja. The IEMA Armex combines precision engineering with AI for unparalleled agility and flexibility, marking a new era in automation.
The IEMA Armex is equipped with a precision-engineered gripper and advanced AI, allowing it to handle delicate objects and adapt to dynamic environments. It uses the Robot Operating System (ROS) for smooth hardware-software communication, while its machine learning framework enables continuous self-improvement, making it ideal for tasks like assembly and research experiments.
Dr. Satyajit Chakrabarti stated, “Our goal is to push the limits of robotics, and with the IEMA Armex, we have achieved a significant technological milestone.”
Lead researcher Souvik Chatterjee highlighted, “The integration of AI and machine learning enables the IEMA Armex to perform tasks with human-like precision and adaptability.”
