Narula Institute of Technology Celebrates Children’s Day with NiT-LiT 2024 Literary Festival
Kolkata, November 14, 2024: Narula Institute of Technology hosted its annual Inter-Institute Literary Festival, NiT-LiT, on Children’s Day, celebrating childhood and the world of literature as a powerful combination for inspiring creativity, empathy, and lifelong learning. This year’s event drew over 800 participants, including 350 school students and 450 college students, in a grand celebration of words, ideas, and imagination.
NiT-LiT 2024 offered an exciting lineup of literary activities such as Debate, JAM, Creative Writing, Storytelling, Recitation, Skits, and interactive games that engaged young minds. The festival saw spirited participation from several esteemed schools, including Aditya Academy Senior Secondary School, Dumdum Kishore Bharati, Barisha Janakalyan Vidyapith for Girls, Belgharia Jatindas School for Girls, Dumdum Shree Aravinda Vidyamandir, Kasba Jagadish Vidyapith for Girls, and Khardah Sibnath High School, with many of them securing multiple awards.
The festival culminated in a grand closing ceremony graced by the presence of Chandan Sen, the celebrated thespian, award-winning playwright, and author. His address left a lasting impression on the young literary enthusiasts, inspiring them to delve deeper into the world of literature. Heads of Institutions (HOIs) from various schools across Kolkata were also present, further enriching the atmosphere of the event.
