METRO RAILWAY TIGHTENS SECURITY ARRANGEMENTS FOR CHRISTMAS

Anticipating huge rush on Christmas i.e. on 25.12.2024, Metro Railway is going to strengthen its security arrangements at Esplanade, Park Street, Maidan, Rabindra Sadan, Dum Dum and Dakshineswar Metro stations. At these stations, well-trained RPF personnel will be deployed at all entry and exit gates. Metro RPF will arrange extra deployment of personnel in these stations to ensure hassle-free journey of passengers on that day.
Adequate lady RPF officer and staff will be deployed at Park Street station to ensure safety and security of ladies and children. One Special Team will remain present as special force at Park Street, Maidan and Esplanade Metro stations on 25.12.2024. This team will remain in readiness to tackle any emergency. Adequate staff will be posted at Central Control. The CCTV monitoring will be done extensively to ensure safety and security of passengers. As the Park Street is the main focus of festivity, queue managers, loud hailers and ropes etc will be used to control the crowd.Anti-Sabotage Checking will also be done.
Another Special Team consisting of one officer and four staff will be deployed at Park Street Metro station on the day to manage the rush. Adequate number of RPF staff will be deployed at Park Street, Maidan & Esplanade Metro stations to provide proper guidance to the commuters.
