An Ex Servicemen Mega Rally Organised at Hem Barua Higher Secondary School, Ghoramari in Sonitpur District on 02 Mar 2025 under the ages of Gajraj Corps.Approximately 3000 plus ESM, War Widows, Widows & Battle Casualties participated in the Rally. Maj Gen H S Gill, YSM, GOC, 71 INF Div – Chief guest of the event expressed the commitment of the Organisation towards ESM fraternity for their sacrifices for the Nation. Brig Polash Choudhury, SM(Retd), Director, Directorate of Sainik Welfare, Assam presented financial assistance to the needy Orphan children. In his address the Director expressed that the Govt of India & the Govt of Assam are very sensitive to the problems,issues & welfare of the ESMs. New welfare Schemes & Job opportunities are extended for the benefit of ESMs. He appealed to the ESM community to remain updated & avail of it. He also encouraged the ESMs to wholeheartedly participate in the Honorable Governor of Assam ‘ Rashtriya Kritagyta avm Jagrukta’ yojna which meant to motivate youths of Schools & Colleges toward discipline, nation before self & patriotism – a noble cause for Nation building.In the Rally various counters were set up for welfare & awareness of ESMs like representatives from PCDA(P) to address Pension related queries, SBI, Axis Bank, Veterinary & Animal Husbandry, Agricultural Department & many more. All Battle Casualties, Veer Naris & Veer Mother’s were felicitated.
