MORE METRO SERVICES ON THE GREEN LINE

Good News for Metro commuters! Metro Railway is going to increase services in the Green Line from tomorrow i.e. 20.09.2025 (Saturday). On this line, 226 services will be operated daily from Monday to Saturday instead of 186 services. In the morning and evening peak hours, Metro services will be available at 6-minute intervals instead of 8-minute intervals.
To avoid long queues, commuters are requested to use the Digital mode of ticketing like Smart Cards and Mobile QR tickets, which comes with 5% bonus/rebate if booked via app or at the time of recharge. They are also requested to download ‘AAMAR KOLKATA METRO’ app to book their tickets or recharge Smart Cards anytime to avoid long queues at booking counters to save time. Passengers are also requested to follow the instructions made through the Public Address System by on-duty staff. Tourists and Visitors may use Tourist Smart Cards to avail the facility of unlimited journeys for a duration of 3 and 5 days at a cost of Rs. 250 and Rs. 550 respectively during Durga Puja days. These Cards are now available at booking counters of every Metro station.
