RPF OF EASTERN RAILWAY FOILS DRUG SMUGGLING ATTEMPT UNDER “OPERATION NARCOS”

Displaying utmost vigilance and commitment to passenger safety, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Eastern Railway successfully seized a substantial quantity of narcotic substances under “Operation Narcos” on 18 October 2025.

RPF officials of Sealdah Main Post, under Sealdah Division, apprehended one male individual at Sealdah Railway Station and recovered 7.634 kgs of Ganja, valued at approximately Rs. 1,90,850/-. The arrested person, along with the seized contraband, was handed over to GRPS/Sealdah, where a case has been registered under the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

This successful operation underscores the unwavering efforts of Eastern Railway’s RPF to curb illegal activities within railway premises and ensure a safe and secure environment for all passengers.
