Aurangabad Railway Station in Maharashtra has been renamed as Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Railway Station 

After three years, Aurangabad city was renamed to Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. renamed as Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Railway Station, a welcome move for the pride of Maratha and Indian history, to celebrate the real hero of Indian history.

The move comes three years after Aurangabad city was renamed Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar by authorities. The Railway reservation and other activity code of the new station, which falls under the Nanded Division of the South Central Railway, is ‘CPSN’.

In an official communication by Indian Railways South Central Railway division says:

“The competent authority has approved the change in the name of ‘Aurangabad’ Railway station of Nanded Division over South Central Railway as ‘CHHATRAPATI SAMBHAJINAGAR’ Railway station with the Railway Code for Station as CPSN,” a statement released by the South Central Railway said.
