167th Birth Anniversary of Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose Observed at BSI AJC Bose Indian Botanic Garden, Howrah
The AJC Bose Indian Botanic Garden, Howrah, observed the 167th birth anniversary of the legendary scientist and pioneer of modern plant science, Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose, on 30 November 2025.
Dr. Devendra Singh, Scientist–E and In-charge of AJCBIBG, along with scientists and staff, offered floral tributes at the statue of Acharya J. C. Bose located at the main entrance of the Garden. The gathering remembered his remarkable contributions to science and his lifelong dedication to the study of nature.
The observance was attended by Dr. J. Swamy, Dr Ravi, Dr. Vijay Mastakar, Shri S. C. Mohanty, and other officials and staff members of AJCBIBG.
The programme reflected upon Acharya Bose’s enduring legacy and his pioneering spirit, which continues to inspire scientific inquiry and environmental understanding.
