RPF/ER PROVIDES ASSISTANCE TO INJURED AND ILL PERSONS UNDER “MISSION SEWA”
Kolkata, January 3, 2026:
Demonstrating its continued commitment to humanitarian service and passenger welfare, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Eastern Railway extended timely assistance to injured and ill persons under “Mission Sewa” on January 2, 2026, thereby saving them from life-threatening situations.
RPF personnel of Asansol and Sealdah Divisions rescued and assisted five persons (male and female) found in an injured or sick condition at various railway premises. Of these, two persons were found injured at Andal and Dum Dum Railway Stations, while three persons were found ill at Barasat, near Ranaghat, and between Krishnanagar–Badkulla Railway Stations.
The RPF officials promptly rendered first aid and arranged for their safe transfer to the nearest Government hospitals for further medical treatment.
Such proactive efforts under Mission Sewa reflect the RPF’s unwavering commitment to humanitarian policing and to ensuring the safety, security, and well-being of passengers and railway users.
