HOWRAH–KAMAKHYA – HOWRAH VANDE BHARAT SLEEPER EXPRESS SET FOR REGULAR OPERATIONS

In line with his vision of a future-ready and modern railway network, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi flagged off India’s first Vande Bharat Sleeper train between Howrah & Kamakhya on 17.01.2026. Regular run of 27575/27576 Howrah-Kamakhya-Howrah Vande Bharat Sleeper Express, marking a significant enhancement in the region’s transportation network. The regular run of Vande Bharat Sleeper Express will be operational from Kamakhya end with effect from 22 January and from Howrah end with effect from 23 January 2026, offering passengers a modern, efficient, and comfortable travel experience. The introduction of this new Vande Bharat Sleeper Express train is aimed at addressing the rising passenger demand and improving connectivity between the East & North-East regions.
27576 Kamakhya – Howrah Vande Bharat Sleeper Express will leave Kamakhya at 18:15 hrs. daily (except Wednesday) with effect on & from 22.01.2026 to reach Howrah at 08:15 hrs. on the next day. 27575 Howrah – Kamakhya Vande Bharat Sleeper Express will leave Howrah at 18:20 hrs. daily (except Thursday) with effect from 23.01.2026 to reach Kamakhya at 08:20 hrs. on the next day. The train will stop at Bandel, Nabadwip Dham, Katwa, Azimganj, New Farakka, Malda Town, Aluabari Road, New Jalpaiguri, Jalpaiguri Road, New Coochbehar, New Alipurduar, New Bangaigaon, and Rangiya stations enroute in both directions. The train will have Air-conditioned accommodation.
