Rashtriya Military School (RMS) Belagavi recently hosted Major General Tamojeet Biswas, Additional Director General of Army Education (ADGAE), for a high-profile campus review focused on academic excellence and officer-cadet motivation.
During his visit, Maj. Gen. Biswas conducted a detailed inspection of the school’s infrastructure, including specialized laboratories, smart classrooms, the motivational hall, and the Cadets’ mess. Highlighting the shift toward digital warfare and technical proficiency, he emphasized the critical need to modernize educational tools to match the evolving landscape of global technology.
Addressing a packed auditorium, the General drew upon his distinguished career—including his previous roles as Principal of RMS Bengaluru and Sainik School Nalanda—to offer cadets a roadmap for leadership. “A uniform is not just clothing; it is a commitment to the soil of this nation,” Maj. Gen. Biswas remarked. “Discipline remains the essential bridge between a cadet’s goals and their ultimate accomplishment.”
Beyond motivation, the visit provided practical value. The General offered strategic insights into the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examinations and the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview process. He urged cadets to cultivate a balance of: Academic Excellence: Staying ahead in a competitive curriculum.
The visit concluded with a clear call to action: to increase the rate of induction from RMS Belagavi into the National Defence Academy (NDA), furthering the school’s legacy of producing the nation’s finest military leaders.
