THREE NEW AFC-PC GATES COMMISSIONED AT SALT LAKE SECTOR V METRO STATION

FREE WI-FI FACILITY AT SALT LAKE SECTOR V STATION

Kolkata, Date: – 20.02.2026

As part of Metro Railway’s effort to improve facilities for passengers at Salt Lake Sector V Metro station of Green Line, (03)three new AFC-PC gates have been commissioned today i.e. on 20.02.2026. These new gates, which are bi-directional, will ensure free flow of commuters at this station.

With the addition of these three (03)new AFC-PC Gates,now there are 09 such Smart Gates at Salt Lake Sector V Metro station to facilitate improved and hassle-free access for passengers. Passengers will be able to tap their Metro Tokens or Smart Cards at these gates. These gates are also provided with QR code embedded scanners so that passengers having QR code-based tokens also will be able to enter/exit this station through these gates smoothly.

In another improved facility, free Wi-Fi facility is also available at this station. Passengers can easily avail this facility by selecting “MetroRailwaykolkata” in Wi-Fi option without an OTP.
