Kolkata, July 3, 2026: The makers of the upcoming Bengali film Katukutu Buro have unveiled “Lovuduvu,” the film’s first song, offering audiences a heartwarming glimpse into a modern love story filled with humour, emotions, playful banter and youthful romance. Released today, the song marks the beginning of the film’s musical journey ahead of its theatrical release on July 24, 2026.
Penned by Ujaan Ganguly, composed by Debayan Banerjee, and sung by Ujaan Ganguly alongside Rapurna Bhattacharyya, Lovuduvu captures the excitement and innocence of falling in love. The song follows the evolving relationship between Kedar and Paro, portraying how love grows through shared laughter, memes, playful disagreements, heartfelt conversations and unconditional acceptance.
Blending catchy melodies with contemporary storytelling, the track celebrates the little moments that define meaningful relationships, reminding listeners that love is often found in everyday experiences rather than grand gestures.
Making his debut as both a lyricist and playback singer, director Ujaan Ganguly described Lovuduvu as a musical journey from hesitation to confession.
“Lovuduvu captures the musical journey from ‘Should I speak up?’ to ‘There, I just said it’ kind of puppy love. This is my debut as both a singer and lyricist—both happy accidents—and I hope this song becomes as special to everyone as it is to me,” he said.
Adding another creative milestone to the project, Debayan Banerjee makes his debut as a music composer for feature films with Katukutu Buro. He said composing the film’s first song was both exciting and rewarding.
“It’s a wonderful feeling that Lovuduvu is finally releasing. I’ve tried to create a fresh and quirky soundscape for the track. Ujaan and Rapurna have beautifully rendered the song, and audiences can also look forward to a special surprise version in the coming days,” Banerjee said.
One of the song’s most intriguing visual elements is a mysterious superhero action figure quietly playing the violin in the background, adding a whimsical and magical layer to the romantic narrative.
Packed with cheerful rhythms, vibrant visuals and memorable melodies, Lovuduvu reflects the butterflies, blushes, awkward confessions and emotional highs that accompany young love, making it an instantly relatable romantic anthem.
Written and directed by Ujaan Ganguly, Katukutu Buro promises to blend romance, mystery and fantasy into a unique cinematic experience. The Bengali film is scheduled to hit theatres on July 24, 2026.
