ALERT RPF PERSONNEL RECOVERED 6.4 KG SILVER BARS FROM A PASSENGER AT HOWRAH METRO STATION

On-duty RPF staff detected suspected silver bars inside a handbag while scanning the luggage of a passenger at Howrah Metro station on 13.07.2026 at around 13.03 hrs. He immediately raised the alarm, and the passenger was identified, and Golabari police station was also alerted.
A total of 6.4 kg silver bars, worth Rs. 13.88 lakhs ( approx), were seized from the passenger during the preliminary inquiry in the presence of police personnel. Later, after fulfilling all official formalities, the passenger and the seized materials were handed over to the police for further action as per law.
