India and Brazil Strengthen Trade Cooperation at 8th Trade Monitoring Mechanism Meeting
Discussions in Brasília focus on market access, trade barriers, investment and emerging areas of economic partnership

New Delhi, August 31, 2026: India and Brazil have renewed their efforts to deepen bilateral trade and economic cooperation with the 8th meeting of the India-Brazil Trade Monitoring Mechanism (TMM) held in Brasília.
The meeting brought together senior officials from both countries to review the progress of bilateral trade relations and discuss measures to address challenges faced by businesses. The discussions placed particular emphasis on improving market access, reducing trade-related barriers and creating greater opportunities for investment and commercial partnerships.
Focus on Expanding Bilateral Trade
A significant part of the meeting was devoted to market access and non-tariff measures that can affect the movement of goods between the two countries.
