Sealdah Division organised a tree plantation drive at Cossimbazar Station in presence of Principal Chief Commercial Manager. The initiative is part of Sealdah Divisions’ efforts to promote environmental sustainability and improve the overall green cover of railway stations across the country.
During the tree plantation drive, a variety of native tree species were planted on the station premises. The trees will not only help to beautify the station but will also provide shade, absorb carbon dioxide, and improve air quality.
In this drive Sri Deepak Nigam DRM Sealdah appealed to the public to support the Sealdah Divisions’ efforts to promote environmental sustainability and participate in tree plantation activities. Sr.DCM Sealdah Sri Pawan Kumar also urged the passengers and railway staff to take care of the newly planted trees and ensure their survival.
