TWO MORE AFC-PC GATES OPENED AT SALT LAKE SECTOR V METRO STATION

Good news for Metro commuters again!
Two more AFC-PC (Automatic Fare Collection–Passenger Control) gates have been opened at Salt Lake Sector Metro Station for the benefit of the Metro users. These new gates will enable Green Line commuters to exit directly from the paid area to the unpaid area and will ensure a smooth and free flow of passengers.
With the addition of these two new AFC-PC gates, there are now 13 Smart Gates at Salt Lake Sector V Metro Station to effectively manage the rush. Out of these 13 gates, 5 gates are exclusively for Entry, 6 gates are exclusively for Exit, and 2 gates are bi-directional, facilitating both entry and exit for passengers travelling with Tokens, Smart Cards, and QR Code-based tickets.
Out of these 2 bi-directional gates, one is earmarked for wheelchair-bound passengers to ensure accessibility and comfort.
Commuters can punch their Metro Tokens or Smart Cards at these gates. In addition, the gates are equipped with QR code scanners, enabling passengers with QR code-based tickets to enter or exit the station conveniently.
We are proud of ‘AAMAR METRO’. To avoid long queues at booking counters, commuters are requested to use digital modes of ticketing such as Smart Cards and Mobile QR Tickets, which come with a 5% bonus/rebate if booked through the Aamar Kolkata Metro app or during recharge.
Commuters are also encouraged to download the ‘Aamar Kolkata Metro’ app to book tickets or recharge their Smart Cards anytime and save valuable time.
