Maharashtra Tourism Engages Delhi Travel Trade at Successful Roadshow in the Capital

The Directorate of Tourism, Government of Maharashtra, successfully hosted the Maharashtra Tourism Roadshow today at the Grand Ballroom, Radisson Blu Hotel, Dwarka, New Delhi. The event witnessed an impressive turnout with significant participation from the Delhi travel trade, along with a strong presence of media representatives and travel influencers.
The Maharashtra delegation, led by Shri Santosh Jadhav, Joint Director (DoT), Shri Chandrashekhar Jaiswal, General Manager, Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC), and Shri Vijay Jadhav, Deputy Director, DoT, brought together a cross-section of key tourism stakeholders – including hoteliers, tour operators, heritage site managers, adventure providers, and destination management experts – to showcase the state’s diverse tourism offerings and explore new avenues for collaboration.

The evening began with captivating cultural performances reflecting Maharashtra’s rich traditions, followed by presentations highlighting the state’s varied tourism experiences across heritage, wildlife, coastal, spiritual, and experiential segments. The roadshow also featured productive B2B interactions between Maharashtra stakeholders and the Delhi travel trade, fostering meaningful business engagements and strengthening industry partnerships. The programme concluded with a networking dinner, providing an ideal platform for continued dialogue and relationship building.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Santosh Jadhav, Joint Director, Directorate of Tourism, Government of Maharashtra, said, “Delhi remains one of our key source markets, and this roadshow is a significant step towards strengthening our engagement with the travel trade. Maharashtra offers a diverse range of experiences – from heritage forts and spiritual circuits to wildlife, beaches, and urban tourism – and we are keen to work closely with our partners to promote these offerings more effectively.”

Shri Chandrashekhar Jaiswal, General Manager, MTDC, added, “Through such focused roadshows, we aim to create direct connect between Maharashtra’s tourism stakeholders and the travel trade fraternity. The enthusiastic participation today reflects the growing interest in Maharashtra as a year-round destination, and we look forward to translating these interactions into strong business collaborations.”

Echoing similar sentiments, Shri Vijay Jadhav, Deputy Director, DoT, stated, “Our objective is to continuously engage with key domestic markets and showcase the evolving tourism landscape of Maharashtra. The encouraging response from travel trade, media, and influencers today reinforces our commitment to positioning Maharashtra as a preferred destination for diverse traveller segments.”

The successful roadshow highlighted Maharashtra Tourism’s ongoing efforts to strengthen domestic outreach, enhance destination visibility, and build long-term partnerships with the travel trade across India.
