July 31, 2026: The self-declared Republic of Balochistan has issued a statement expressing solidarity with the people of Pakistan-Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) while strongly condemning what it described as the indiscriminate use of force by Pakistani security agencies in the region.
According to the statement released on July 31, 2026, the Republic of Balochistan alleged that the Pakistani Army, police, and paramilitary forces had carried out firing in several areas of PoJK, including Neelum, Mirpur, Rawalakot, and Muzaffarabad. The statement claimed that these incidents had resulted in hundreds of casualties over a period of time and further alleged that a seven-year-old Kashmiri girl was killed during firing in the affected areas on the previous day.
The organization called upon the people of Kashmir to continue their political struggle and urged them not to rely on what it described as assurances made by Pakistan’s military establishment and political leadership.
In its statement, the Republic of Balochistan also referred to historical events involving Nawab Nauroz Khan, alleging that during the 1960s the governments led by General Ayub Khan and General Yahya Khan persuaded the Baloch leader and his associates to surrender for negotiations by invoking the Holy Quran, after which they were arrested and later executed. The organization cited this episode as a warning against trusting future negotiations with Pakistani authorities.
The statement further argued that continued faith in Pakistan’s political promises would only prolong the situation for the people of Kashmir. It described Pakistan as a “failed state” and referred to recent remarks that it attributed to Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, claiming he had acknowledged serious institutional challenges within the country. It also cited unnamed economists as saying Pakistan is facing severe economic difficulties.
Calling for greater regional unity, the Republic of Balochistan urged the people of Kashmir to distance themselves from what it termed Pakistan’s “fake identity.” The statement asserted that the people of Balochistan, Sindh, and Pashtunistan stand in solidarity with the people of PoJK and called for a collective movement against what it described as occupation, exploitation, and terrorism.
The statement concluded by reaffirming the Republic of Balochistan’s support for the people of Pakistan-Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
