Not yet confirmed by authorities but media reports that a blast at New York’s Central Park has created panic among the people in surrounding areas.
One person reported to be injured. A man was critically injured in an explosion in New York’s Central Park today, but it was not yet clear what caused the blast, police said.
The area is near the Central Park zoo, the New York Police Department said.
The man was taken to Bellevue hospital may be a “possible amputation” is required, a Fire Department of New York spokesperson said. The spokesperson would not speculate on what caused the explosion.
