58-year-old Economist Abhijit Banerjee bagged the Nobel Peace Prize with his wife Esther Duflo another economist Michael Kremer for his “experimental approach to alleviating global property.”
He expresses the fact that receiving the Nobel this early in his career was a little unexpected to him.
He also mentions the fact that India is in a state of instability in terms of an economic perspective and mentions that the current data growth shows an unlikely place for the revival of it.
