Binani Group plans investments worth Rs 10,000 cr in Bengal

The Binani Group that started its journey in metal business from Howrah 150 years ago, has lined up a mega investment plan for Bengal.

It plans to reconnect with Bengal with an investment of over Rs 10,000 crore in cement business. The project may generate employment to more than 10,000 people.

The managing director of Binani Cement on Tuesday met Bengal Finance and Industry Minister Dr Amit Mitra to discuss the revised investment proposal. The state has already offered land to the group for its proposed ventures.

“The state government here has undertaken a lot of development work. We want to be a part of that,“ spokesperson from the Binani Group said.
