Merchants’ Chamber of Commerce & Industry [MCCI] GST Help Desk was inaugurated by Mr. Khalid Aizaz Anwar, IAS, Commissioner, State Tax Directorate of Commercial Taxes, Govt. of West Bengal on 3 March, 2022 at 4.00 PM at Conference Hall of the Chamber.
The objective of this coveted initiative, MCCI GST Help Desk is to help industry, business and trade leverage the opportunities and explore solutions to the key issues of
- Input Tax Credit
- Filing of Returns
- Refund
- Compliances
- Import Credit
The areas to be addressed by the Mentor panel, among others, are :
- Mentoring and hand holding support
- Providing Solutions to Issues
- Clarification of Doubts
- Single-point information/ consultation system
- Special Assistance
While welcoming the guests at the Inaugural Session of MCCI GST Help Desk, Mr. Rishabh C. Kothari, President, MCCI expressed that MCCI strongly believes that if the units are provided with adequate hand holding, their productivity would increase and they would be able to perform according to their capability. With a view to provide hand-holding and mentoring support to the entrepreneurs and start ups, the Chamber is starting the MCCI GST Help Desk at its premises, where domain and subject matter experts will be available for consultation.
Mr. Khalid Aizaz Anwar, IAS Commissioner, State Tax Directorate of Commercial Taxes, Govt. of West Bengal inaugurated the MCCI GST Help Desk by releasing Help Desk Brochure.
Mr. Khalid Aizaz Anwar lauded the Chamber on taking such a good initiative for helping the industries and businesses on the issues regarding GST. He assured support and assistance from the Directorate and requested the business units to take the facilities to be provided by the Help Desk. He felt that this platform would be useful for coming forward with critical issues faced by business units.
