The National Holiday on 15th August has brought another opportunity to step out from home for a family trip to popular destinations with the backup of the weekend on the eve of Independence Day.

The occupancy figure of long-distance trains to New Jalpaiguri on 11th and 12th August shows a total wait list of 1040 on 11th August and 425 on 12th August in AC 3-tier class which is very popular among the middle-class people. For Puri bound trains also the total wait list in AC 3 tier on 11th and 12th August shows the figure as 1268 and 684 respectively.

Amidst the stepped-up security on the week of Independence Day, Railway has expected the passengers to enjoy their journey for their travel to the desired place keeping back up of the weekend holiday up to 15th August.
