o 48 members of Thums Up Toofani Gang will go pandal-hopping with celebrities Abir Chatterjee and Priyanka Sarkar
Kolkata, 3rd October 2019: There is palpable excitement in the air as countdown has begun to the festivities of Durga Pujo. Thums Up is adding thunder to the fervor with exciting consumer activities, contests and social media engagements, reinforcing the strong consumer love for Thums Up in West Bengal. The brand is back with the new edition of ‘Thums Up Toofani Gang’, a group of young and energetic people who will take on the cities and make Durga Pujo toofani!
The mega-finale selection of Thums Up Toofani Gang was held on Mahalaya at South City Mall in Kolkata. Contestants had to complete tasks that tested their speed, agility and most importantly, a toofani never-say-never attitude. The tasks ranged from a challenging obstacle course, to fast-paced dancing to the beats of Pujo dhaks with an open bottle of Thums Up. Furthermore, wildcard entries were also invited through contests on radio and digital platforms. The action-packed Gangs will be led by celebrities Abir Chatterjee, Priyanka Sarkar and Tanushree Chakrabort in Kolkata, Howrah, North 24 Parganas and Midnapur. 12 winners were chosen in each of the four cities who will go pandal-hopping with their Gang leaders from 4th- 6th October.

Bringing a new wave of ‘Tolpaar’ this Durga Pujo, the Thums Up Toofani Gang will make a high-spirited entry at the pandals they visit flanked by Dhaakis and Dhunuchi dancers.”
Thums Up is also running multiple initiatives for consumers including displays at select Spencer’s stores in Kolkata city where consumers are encouraged to take a selfie and post online using #PujoyeTolpaar. Furthermore, consumers can participate in social media activities by sharing pictures of their favorite Toofani Pandals of 2019.
