PLANTATION DRIVE AT NETAJI NAGAR IN ASSOCIATION WITH TOLLYGUNJE JATIYA SANGHA CLUB, FUTURE FOUNDATION SCHOOL STUDENTS AND MUKTI HELD ON JULY 23RD 2016.
A plantation drive was organized by MUKTI in association with Future Foundation School and Tollygunje Jatiyo Sangha Club at the Club grounds at Netaji Nagar. This tree-planting project is a great opportunity for us to show our concern for the environment and help diminish the unfavourable effects of pollution, Global Warming and Climate Change.
MUKTI in its pursuit to save the environment and ecological balance has created an ECO-Club which carries out tree plantation every year. With an impetus to carry forward its services for the betterment of the society, MUKTI organized Tree Plantation Drive with 100 samplings on 23rd July 2016 where the students and faculty members planted many trees to keep the environment clean and maintain the life-support systems of the planet Earth. This event witnessed an enthusiastic response from the students as well as faculty members. As responsible citizens we owe a duty towards Mother Nature. It is commendable to mark that MUKTI has not just set a benchmark in nurturing the students by providing technical education but has taken enormous steps towards social services.
The students from the school along with teachers planted saplings. An environment program/quiz also was organized by Earth Lovers-Nature Club on the same day. The program was attended by Mr. Sankar Halder, President, MUKTI, Mr. Chanchal Purkayastha, Project Head – Enviornment, MUKTI, Sanjay Bose, Director – Resource Mobilization, MUKTI and Mr. Sanjay Bose, Secretary, Tollygunje Jatiyo Sangha Club.
