A shocking news of post poll violance reported from Kannur,One person was killed and eight others injured when two bombs were thrown at CPI(M)-led LDF’s poll victory rallies in Kerala’s Kannur district this evening . BJP and marxist party workers were reported to have fighting with each other in other parts of the district.
CPI (M) protested that some RSS-BJP workers came in a vehicle and thrown a bomb at Pinarayi in Dharmadam assembly segment from where CPI-M politburo member Pinarayi Vijayan won. One person identified as Raveendran (47) died and four others were injured when the bomb exploded rushed to hospita, police said.
At Mattannur also a bomb was thrown at a victory rally in which four of CPI-M workers were injured.
At Vidyanagar in Kasaragod, workers of CPI(M) and BJP clashed and LDF’S winning candidate E Chandrasekharan and CPI(M) state committee member A K Narayanan were injured in stone pelting incidents.
Police burst teargas shells to chase away the workers and to take control of the situation.
In other incidents CPI-M and IUML workers clashed at Kanhangad, police said.
Kasaragod district collector has imposed prohibitory orders at Kasaragod, Kanhangad and Manjeswaram to keep law and order in control.
