Kolkata|
Obesity has long been declared a lifestyle disease and the best cure is to walk. One might be more enthused to walk when one would learn that a recent research has found walking to increase ones intelligence.
So when an opportunity turned up to advocate peregrination, Apollo Hospitals couldn’t help but champion the cause, more so when the cause can blinker with stars – stars, in terms of Prosenjit and Rituparna, who are essaying the role of city guide and conservation archeologist respectively in the film, Praktan.
“There is a campaign floated by Ritu’s character in the film itself, ‘Hete Dekho Kolkata’, and it went well with our constant effort to keep Calcuttans healthy specially through walking and while at it enjoying the various heritage spots of the city”, explained, Rupali Basu, President and CEO of the hospital, on the choice of hosting the duo.
Prior to announcement made at the day-care building, the actor-duo visited the cancer facility located within the compound.
A new addition to the hospital – foetal medicine clinic – was also announced in this occasion. Foetal medicine, a sub-specialty of obstetrics – which concerns with health and safety of unborn babies, plays a significant role in regular birthing by mitigating prenatal abnormalities associated with difficult pregnancies, be it low or high risk.
Such an addition to a hospital will no doubt complete not only the totality of obstetrics care services but also the hospital-care bouquet itself.
