Boost for infrastructure at Goaltore
A day after Mamata Banerjee offered 1,000 acre land for setting up of a factory either by Tata/BMW or any other car manufacturing company at Goaltore in West Midnapore, the district authorities have started chalking out places on war footing to develop the area.
Upbeat with the CM’s announcement, as many as 100 labourers working in the Goaltore state seed farm started clearing the shrubs in the area. Garbeta-II BDO went to visit the spot. “We are in the process of preparing the land,” the BDO said.
The Midnapore zilla parishad has already taken up a proposal to give a blacktop to the road leading to the project site. A proposal for setting up a 132 kV power substation has also been submitted.

বৃহস্পতিবার সকাল থেকেই গড়বেতা-২ ব্লকের বিডিও নিজে উপস্থিত থেকে শ্রমিক লাগিয়ে ওই জমিতে আগাছা পরিষ্কারের কাজ শুরু করেন৷ বিডিও জানিয়েছেন, এখানে পাশে জলের জন্য খাল রয়েছে৷ ১০ কিমির মধ্যে শিলাবতী ও কংসাবতী নদী রয়েছে, হাইওয়ে হচ্ছে, বিদ্যুতের সংযোগ শুরু হচ্ছে৷ সব মিলিয়ে শিল্পের উপযুক্ত জমি এটি৷ সেটাকেই শিল্পের জন্য তৈরি করা হচ্ছে৷
