Crèche facility provided to children aged 6 months to 6 years of working mothers under National Crèche Scheme
National Crèche Scheme is being implemented across the country presently through the Central Social Welfare Board (an autonomous body under the Ministry) and Indian Council for Child Welfare (a NGO) to provide crèche facility to the children in the age group of 6 months to 6 years of working mothers who are employed for a minimum period of 15 days in a month of 6 months in a year. The revised guideline of the Scheme (w.e.f. 01.01.2016) envisages a nominal user charge to be collected as under:
- BPL families – Rs.20/- per child per month
- Families with income (Both Parents) of upto Rs.12,000/- per month – Rs.100/- per child per month
iii.Families with income (Both Parents) of above Rs.12,000/- per month- Rs.200/- per child per month
This collection of user charges ensures better participation of the community.
