About ‘Life and Time: The Changing Landscape’…

‘Life and Time: The Changing Landscape’ is a multi-disciplinary art exhibition curated by renowned artist activist Probir Gupta. The exhibition is a commentary on life and the changes time has wrought on the socio-political-economic and environmental conditions, and in the process has eroded the system of values, ethics, concerns and honest endeavour.

There is a crisis, yet one must not lose faith in humanity. Anger is the enemy of non-violence, and pride is a monster that swallows up everything.

Rationalists are being killed, women and children are still being exploited, glaciers are melting, there is ruthlessness all around…yet, amidst this chaos, hope cannot be lost, and ideals cannot be drowned in a pool of doubts and misgivings.

23 prominent art practitioners from India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, the UK, Denmark, France and Russia who view the world from these perspectives are taking part in this exhibition, and their thoughts find reflection in their mixed media works in the unique, multi-disciplinary art exhibition ‘Life and Time: The Changing Landscape.’
