Shri Harshavardhan Neotia Nominated as the Chairman, Board of Governors of National Institute of Technical Teachers’ Training and Research (NITTTR), Kolkata

Congratulation to Mr. Harshavardhan Neotia for being nominated as Chairman of NITTTR Kolkata one of the most prestigious institute of Government of India. Kolkata and her people are getting the National importance it is a proud moment for all of us.
National Institute of Technical Teachers’ Training & Research (NITTTR), Kolkata established by Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India proudly announced the nomination of Shri Harshavardhan Neotia as its Chairman, Board of Governors. NITTTR, Kolkata offers quality training programs for teachers covering the entire gamut of technical, vocational and management education, at regional as well as at national levels. It undertakes systemic research to provide research inputs for development of technical education systems and their management.
Mr. Harshavardhan Neotia completed his schooling from La Martiniere for Boys, Kolkata and graduated in B.Com (Hons.) from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata. Subsequently, he completed the Owner President Management (OPM) Program from the Harvard Business School, USA. Mr Neotia is the Chairman of Ambuja Neotia Group. Operating through several companies the Ambuja Neotia Group is into Housing, Retail, Commercial, Hospitality, Health Care and Education.
Mr. Neotia was conferred with ‘Padma Shri’ by the Hon’ble President of India in 1999 for his outstanding initiative in social housing. He was also honored with YPO Legacy of Honour Award in 2005.
Immediate Past President of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), Mr. Neotia serves on various state and central government committees and is a member of the Boards of several prestigious institutions in India. Mr. Neotia is also the Honorary Consul of Israel in West Bengal.
Under his strong leadership, the focal activities of the NITTTR Kolkata viz, (i) Education & Short-term Training, (ii) Curriculum Development, (iii) Learning Resources Development, (iv) Research & Development and (v) Extension Services & Consultancy shall receive further impetus to attain commanding heights in the arena of Technical Education system of the country.
