ARGOBBHAWVA-Humanity Development celebrates its 2nd Foundation Day Kolkata, 16th June 2018: ARGOBBHAWVA–Humanity Development, an organisation which was formed with a noble thought to empower deprived individuals especially women and children celebrated its second foundation day today. The city witnessed the presence of Mr. Sujit Bose, MLA, Bidhannagar as the Chief Guest. Shri Mahendra Agarwal, Founder, Argobbhawva-Humanity Development was present to address the media.
The evening meet focussed on the theme of “Women and Child Development”. The session was addressed by the eminent panellist Mr. Joydeb Majumder, Executive Director of Jayprakrash Institute of social change; Dr. Gopal Dave- RMO of SVS Marwari Hospital; Ms. Shikha Mitra, V P, All India Women Conference & President of East Calcutta Constituency; Ms. Sudeshna Roy, Writer-Actor-Director and Social Activist; Mrs. Shoma Chakroborty Das, Community Intervention Manager in Justice and Care; Babulal Banka, Former president of Lions Club, Chairman of Lions Blood bank and Chairman of Ramkrishna Bati Hospital. Senior Government Officials were also attended the event.
The session was on socio-financial empowerment of Women, Education of the Girl Child, Health and sanitation for women and of course Violence against women. ARGOBBHAWVA-Humanity Development has taken this initiative to create awareness about gender discrimination at the family level, social level behaviour against widows, girl child and also the financial empowerment of women in the society. The session focused on how we should be able to fight instead of being a victim and fall prey to the torture.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Mahendra Agarwal, Founder, ARGOBBHAWVA-Humanity Development said, “We are working on women empowerment and child development for last couple of years and we are glad to say that we have already started various programs to reach our goal. We do social awareness campaigns for the education of girl child and also skill development programs for women and girls with a belief if women are empowered, the hand that rocks the cradle can surely rule the world; complementing, contributing, creating a better tomorrow for everyone”.
