Vice President Greets people on the eve of Rath Yatra

The Vice President of India, Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu has greeted the people on the auspicious occasion of Rath Yatra. In a message, he said that Lord Jagannath is considered to be an incarnation of Lord Vishnu and the Rath Yatra of Odisha witness the coming together of the entire community in celebration of the grace and divinity of Lord Jagannath. May the pious and noble ideals associated with Rath Yatra enrich our lives with peace and harmony, he added.

“I convey my heartiest greetings and good wishes to the people of our country on the joyous occasion of Rath Yatra.
Lord Jagannath is considered to be an incarnation of Lord Vishnu and is worshipped across the country. The Rath Yatra of Odisha, depicting the annual journey of Lord Jagannath, witnesses the coming together of the entire community in celebration of the grace and divinity of Lord Jagannath. The splendour and grandeur of the Rath Yatra is truly unparalleled.
May the pious and noble ideals associated with Rath Yatra enrich our lives with peace and harmony.”
